Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized
to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship,
social activity and the association of students for their mutual
advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation
between the commercial world and students of commerce, and to further
a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic
and commercial welfare of the community.
Delta Sigma Pi was founded on November 7, 1907 at the School of
Commerce, Accounts, and Finance of New York University when Alexander
Frank Makay, Alfred Moysello, Harold Valentine Jacobs and Henry
Albert Tienken decided to form a fraternity and it has continued
to grow and prosper for over 90 years. Today, 243 chapters
and over 175,000 members support the goals and ideals of the Fraternity.

The Delta Epsilon chapter of Delta Sigma Pi was installed at the University of North Texas on May 15, 1954.
